After years as a child actor appearing in shows like HBO's Watchmen, The OA, and GLOW, Philip Labes suddenly found himself with a lot of time in March of 2020. He reappeared a year later with a guitar and satirical folky sensibility that quickly gained him a huge online audience, and a series of super-viral songs that gained the notice of legendary singer-songwriter and Grammy winner Jason Mraz. Within three months of posting his first song, Labes was opening for Mraz across the American Northeast. After the success of the tour, Labes disappeared for another 18 months to create a sprawling creative opus inspired by Vivaldi's Four Seasons. SEASONS, a four album piece, is now streaming everywhere.
