ALIYA KANANI is a Toronto-based comedian, Canadian academy award-nominated actress, writer, entertainer and vagabond, known for her playful and mischievous personality. Aliya recently toured in South Africa and was part of the 2023 Johannesburg International Comedy Festival. She has also showcased with Standup NBC in New York at the renowned Gotham Comedy Club making it to the semi-finals of the nationwide competition. She has performed at festivals and competitions around the world Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, JFL42, Chicago’s NBC/Second City Breakout Comedy Festival, SiriusXM’s Top Comic, Montreal’s LadyFest and the Seattle International Comedy Competition. This show has sold out at festivals internationally, including USA, Australia and Edinburgh, and she is now touring it across North America
